Our 15-year masterplan sets an ambitious course for the future – one that ensures every student continues to learn, thrive and belong in environments designed to inspire.

Endorsed in 2022, the masterplan lays out a staged vision for growth across our current campuses and a bold new chapter with the development of a third campus. It’s a practical and purposeful plan that underpins the strategic aims of reinforcing Westbourne’s position as one of Australia’s best independent schools.

Across Truganina and Williamstown, the masterplan outlines a program of renewal, refurbishment, and repurposing. This revitalisation ensures our learning environments not only reflect today’s learners but have embedded flexibility and innovation that will adapt to the evolving future of teaching and learning.

Stage one of the Masterplan is now complete, following the opening of the Middle Years Learning Centre in 2026. The purpose-built precinct includes innovation hubs, flexible learning spaces, a lecture theatre, student-led café and dedicated health and wellbeing centre, creating an environment designed specifically to support the needs of Years 5 to 8 learners.

The next major phase of Westbourne’s Masterplan is the creation of a dedicated Music and Performing Arts Centre, forming the heart of a purpose-built precinct for creativity, collaboration and performance.

Opening in early 2028, the Centre will include 20 music studios, performance and rehearsal spaces, a major performance venue, professional recording studio, keyboard laboratories, classrooms and collaborative learning spaces.

The project also includes significant landscaping to create new outdoor spaces that strengthen connections across the Truganina campus.

Together with the transformation of Trinity Hall into a Black Box Theatre, this next stage of the Masterplan will provide exceptional facilities that reflect the strength of Westbourne’s renowned music and performing arts program and inspire generations of students to come.

Lovely Banks, just north of Geelong, has been identified for a new community, with first stage development approved for 42,000 homes.

Westbourne’s landholding within this precinct will be the site of a new Prep to Year 12 campus for 1,500 students, and being just 30 minutes from the Truganina Campus, it will respond to growing demand for independent education across the fast growing corridor between Melbourne and Geelong.
