Student Learning Accelerated 2022

As Acting Head of Senior School it gives me great pleasure to announce that a group of our Year 12 students have been accepted into accelerated programs through both the University of Melbourne and Deakin University. This is an excellent opportunity for our students to challenge and extend themselves as learners, pursue subjects they are passionate about, and become familiar with university life, expectations and learning styles. Students will be studying a diverse range of subjects ranging from Criminology, Construction Management, Law, University Maths and Disability, Diversity and Inclusion.

Students who complete the University of Melbourne Extension Program, may receive credit for their undergraduate degree should they later proceed to enrol at Melbourne. This could mean they finish their degree faster or take a lighter study load in first year. An initiative of Deakin University, the distinctive VCE extension program, Deakin Accelerate, provides opportunities for students to get a taste of what tertiary studies involve, while being challenged intellectually through a year-long experience of academic study run by Deakin’s teaching staff
